The first vessel of SVS service made her maiden call at TCIT on August 08th, 2012

On August 08th 2012, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) solemnly celebrated the ceremony of welcoming MOL PARTNER - the first vessel of SVS service.

On August 08th 2012, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) solemnly celebrated the ceremony of welcoming MOL PARTNER - the first vessel of SVS service. This is a new service is operated by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Evergreen Lines. MOL will provide 09 ships and Evergreen with one ship. The capacity range is from 4,500 to 5,600 Teus per ship.

This new service is offered direct connection from Asia (Vietnam/ South China/ Singapore) to U.S East Coast. The SVS port rotation will be as follows:

Hong Kong – Yantian – Singapore – Suez Canal – Algeciras – Norfork – Savannah – Jacksonville – Charleston – Algeciras – Suez Canal – Singapore – Cái Mép – Hong Kong.

Up to this August 2012, TCIT has officially received 06 vessels/per week. In the first 07 months of 2012, TCIT has kept holding the highest market share – around 53% in Cai Mep area. Average net productivity is always high over 100 moves/hour/vessel.
