TAN CANG – CAI MEP INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL (TCIT) WELCOMING THE ASIA PACIFIC 1 (AP1) SERVICE

On May 11, 2024, Tan Cang - Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) successfully received the Seaspan Beyond vessel - the maiden call of the AP1 service connecting Vietnam to the U.S. West Coast. This service is jointly operated by Wan Hai Lines (Taiwan) and Ocean Network Express (Japan) to upgrade and strengthen the cargo network connections of shipping lines along the U.S. West Coast.

The AP1 service route is jointly operated by Wan Hai Lines and Ocean Network Express

The AP1 service rotation as following: Hai Phong - Cai Mep (TCIT) - Shekou - Xiamen - Taipei - Ningbo - Shanghai - Los Angeles - Oakland - Shekou - Hai Phong, with a fleet 7 mother vessels with an average capacity of 13,000 TEUs. Specifically, Wan Hai Lines operates 5 vessels, ONE operates 2 vessels.
