The vessel’s name is OOCL TAIPEI that will call at TCIT on 08th February 2016. This is the first vessel to call at the terminal in the lunar New Year. Its capacity is 8,500 TEUS with the rotation: TCIT – Hong Kong – Shekou – Yantian – Singapore – New York – Savanah – Charleston – Norfolk – Jeddah – Singapore – TCIT. In this call, about 2,363 inbound Teus and 971 outbound Teus will be handled from mother vessels.
Since officially started operations up to now, TCIT has always held the position of the most dynamic terminal with the biggest market share in Cai Mep - Thi Vai, reaching over 67% of market share in this area. Currently, TCIT has served 08 weekly services transporting cargoes from Cai Mep to other countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
In addition, TCIT has also served the feeders transporting the cargoes to Cai Mep from Hai Phong, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Cambodia and the barges transporting shipments to neighboring provinces such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh, etc. and vice versa. It is our big competitive advantage to collect more cargos handled at our terminal.
Furthermore, TCIT has always attained the high average net productivity of over 120 moves/hour with the purpose of quickly dispatching vessels. That will save the fuel cost for our customers and reduce the emission of diesel engines of vessels due to the time saving at our terminal.
