TCIT news in August 2011

In August 2011, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co., Ltd has achieved net productivity approximately 100 moves/hour. This is a remarkable figure during 8 months of starting operation. Total of throughput was over 24,000 Teus, in which export makes up 57%, and import makes up 43%. Total of vessels calling TCIT was 71 units, in which mother vessel was 16 units, and feeder was 55 units. In comparison with July, total of mother vessels grew up to 11%. With all above figures, TCIT has achieved a highest record of net productivity and throughput in Cai Mep area. Like this, TCIT is well proving its operation efficiency and stability.

On 30 August 2011, TCIT successfully held a ceremony of welcoming the LIONS GATE BRIDGE 051A/B - the first K’Line vessel at TCIT. This is the vessel of the AWE4 (All Water East Coast Service) service. Her rotation includes 15 ports including: Cai Mep – Shekou – Hong Kong – Yantian – Singapore – Suez – New York – Norfolk – Jacksonville – Savannah – Singapore – Cai Mep – Shekou – Hong Kong – Yantian. With this service, Mother Vessel has weekly berthed on 30/08/201 at 14:00 and has departed at 7:30 on 31/08/2011.

Along with MOL, and 3 shipping lines of CKYH Alliance, including: HANJIN, COSCO, YANGMING; K’Line have transferred their own vessels operating from other terminal in Cai Mep area to TCIT. Up to now TCIT has received 5 mother vessels per week. With the target of enhance service quality for our customers and competitive advantages with the other terminals in Thi Vai – Cai Mep area, TCIT has kept our net productivity over 90 moves/hour.
