In the early days of 2021, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) was awarded Green Port Award by the APEC Ports Service Network (APSN) Council, becoming the second terminal of Vietnam that achieved this award after Tan Cang Cat Lai (in 2017), enhancing the position of TCIT in particular and Vietnam seaport system in general.

On December 17th, 2020, Tan Cang - Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) courteously welcomes the 2,000,000th TEU in 2020. This is an event with a historic milestone in the 10-year operation journey of TCIT in particular and of the Vietnam seaport industry in general. Up to now, TCIT is the first deep-water terminal and the second container terminal in Vietnam – beside Tan Cang - Cat Lai Terminal in Ho Chi Minh City, to reach this record. The milestone of receiving more than 2,000,000 TEU in 2020, which is 6.2 times increasing compared to the first year of operation in 2011, affirms the sustainable development of TCIT, as well as the potentiality and attraction of Cai Mep - Thi Vai area of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, especially in the period of global pandemic influence.

On Oct 14 2020, Tan Cang - Cai Mep International Terminal Co., Ltd. (TCIT) has successfully welcomed the maiden call of EVER SUMMIT - the first vessel of new service TPA deployed by Evergreen Line.

On the morning of July 22, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has visited Tan Cang Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) of Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP).

On May 19th, TCIT has achieved an impressive net productivity of 206.19 containers / hour when handling the NYK WREN vessel deployed on THE Alliance’s FP2W service connecting Asia and Europe.

On May Day 2020, Tan Cang - Cai Mep International Terminal Co., Ltd. (TCIT) has successfully welcomed the maiden call of HYUNDAI PRIDE - the first vessel of HMM berthed in Vietnam since officially joining THE Alliance on April 1st,2020 as well as the HMM biggest container vessel calls Vietnam so far.

On 15/02/2020, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) has once again set the new highest handling record per vessel while dispatching ONE GRUS (belong to FE5 Service connects Vietnam - Europe) deployed by THE Alliance with the handling volume of 12,562 TEU (1 TEU = twenty-foot equivalent unit), broken the previous record set on December 2019 on the same vessel.

On 07/12/2019, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) has set the new handling record per mother vessel while receiving ONE GRUS (belong to FE5 Service connects Vietnam - Europe) deployed by THE Alliance with the handling volume of 11,387 TEU.

On November 24th, 2019, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) has again broken a record of handling volume per one container ship when receiving the Mother Vessel (M/V) named YANG MING WORLD (serving on EC4 service) by the handling volume of 10,590 TEU.
