On the morning of April 18, 2026, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) successfully welcomed ONE HANGZHOU BAY vessel, the maiden call of FE1 service deployed by Premier Alliance.

The FE1 service directly connects key markets in Asia and Europe, including Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain, with detailed rotation as follows: Laem Chabang – Cai Mep (TCIT) – Singapore – Cape of Good Hope – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Algeciras – Cape of Good Hope – Singapore – Laem Chabang.
In the context that global shipping market is being affected by geopolitical factors, the reception of FE1 service is of great significance in maintaining and strengthening trade connections between Vietnam and Europe. Demand along this corridor continues to demonstrate resilience, underpinned by steady trade growth. Since the EVFTA came into effect in 2020, bilateral trade has increased from USD 55.4 billion to approximately USD 74 billion in 2025, representing a growth of around 34%. In 2025, Vietnam’s exports to Europe reached USD 56.2 billion (up 8.6%), generating a record trade surplus of USD 38.6 billion, driven by key commodities such as electronics, textiles and garments, footwear, steel, and agro-fishery products. As tariff reductions continue to deepen under EVFTA commitments, demand for reliable and direct shipping services is expected to further accelerate.
The continued selection of TCIT by the Premier Alliance for new service deployment not only reinforces the terminal’s role within the regional and global shipping network, but also reflects strong confidence from global carriers in TCIT’s operational capabilities, service quality, and adaptability in a rapidly changing market environment.

Leveraging modern infrastructure, consistently high operational productivity, and the capability to accommodate vessels of up to 173,724 DWT, TCIT is well-positioned to handle long-haul services connecting Asia with Europe and the Americas. The terminal continues to enhance competitiveness through digital transformation initiatives and green port development, meeting increasingly stringent customer and sustainability requirements.

TCIT is committed to continuing to accompany shipping lines in optimizing operations, improving schedule reliability and service quality, thereby contributing to strengthening the position of Cai Mep – Thi Vai port cluster in the global supply chain.
