TAN CANG - CAI MEP INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL (TCIT) - A 15-YEAR JOURNEY OF ESTABLISHING ITSELF AS VIETNAM'S LARGEST DEEP-WATER CONTAINER TERMINAL (04/09/2009 - 04/09/2024)

Strategically located at the confluence of the Thi Vai River, just 18 nautical miles from the Vung Tau pilot station and 70 km from Ho Chi Minh City, TCIT benefits from an ideal channel depth to accommodate large vessels. The terminal is directly connected to major industrial zones in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An, and the Mekong Delta region.
With a network of international services linking over 50 major ports worldwide, TCIT serves not only as an international gateway port but also as a vital transshipment hub in Southeast Asia, especially for cargoes to and from Cambodia. Over its 15 years of development, TCIT has earned the trust of leading global shipping lines.


Featuring modern infrastructure including 10 STS quay cranes, 22 e-RTG yard cranes, and a wide range of advanced equipment, TCIT has increased its handling capacity to 2,200,000 TEUs per year. The terminal has welcomed over 5,000 mother vessels and handled more than 19 million TEUs since its inception, having the highest number of service routes in the region, offering a long-term schedule of 8–12 calls per week — including routes connecting Vietnam with North America, Europe, and Intra-Asia. The terminal has maintained an impressive average annual growth rate of 19% in cargo volume.
