Amid the global seaport and logistics industry’s strong transition toward sustainable development, on the morning of April 9, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) organized a specialized training session titled “ESG Strategy and Sustainable Development Roadmap at TCIT.” The program aimed to provide in-depth updates on ESG—Environmental, Social, and Governance—along with international standards and emerging sustainability trends in port operations and logistics.

With the participation of a large number of TCIT’s leadership and employees, and the support of Baker Tilly A&C along with experienced experts in renewable energy, circular economy, and climate change, the training focused on integrating ESG principles into corporate strategy and daily operations. This initiative supports TCIT’s gradual transition toward a greener, more circular, and low-emission port operation model. It also lays a critical foundation for enhancing sustainable governance capacity, strengthening resilience against uncertainties, and creating long-term value for the company, the community, and stakeholders—aligned with global sustainability trends.

A key highlight of the program was not only the knowledge delivered but also its comprehensive approach: from raising awareness and aligning direction to fostering commitment and driving concrete actions. The message “Awareness – Alignment – Commitment – Action” was consistently embedded throughout the session, reinforcing that ESG should not remain theoretical but must be translated into practical implementation at every level—across departments and individuals. The spirit of “not only studying ESG but collaboratively building solutions for TCIT” helped strengthen internal cohesion and establish a shared foundation for future implementation.

The organization of this ESG training further reaffirms TCIT’s strong commitment to its long-term sustainable development strategy. As global supply chains increasingly impose stricter requirements on environmental and social responsibility, TCIT is proactively embracing these trends, enhancing its capabilities, and reinforcing its position as a trusted partner within the international logistics ecosystem.
