The workshop brought together TCIT’s Board of Management, department managers, key personnel, and ESG focal points, alongside sustainability specialists from Baker Tilly A&C. In his opening remarks, Lieutenant Colonel Truong Tan Loc, Chairman of the Members’ Council of TCIT, emphasized that ESG should not be viewed merely as a compliance requirement or a reporting exercise. Instead, ESG must become a practical management tool that enhances operational efficiency, strengthens risk management, and reinforces TCIT’s competitive advantage. He also highlighted that a company’s credibility must be built upon tangible results and verifiable data.

Over the years, TCIT has established a strong foundation in operational excellence, green transformation, digitalization, safety, environmental management, and workforce development. In addition, TCIT benefits from the experience and expertise of its shareholder partners, many of whom are leading global shipping lines and terminal operators with extensive ESG practices. Building on these existing strengths, TCIT aims to leverage shareholder expertise and transform its advantages into an integrated ESG management system tailored to the terminal’s unique operating environment.

Instead, it must be embedded into daily operations, corporate governance, and organizational culture, catalyzing TCIT’s sustainable growth and long-term value creation in the years ahead.
