Celebration of the first vessel berthing at Tan Cang - Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT)

On 15 January 2011, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co. Ltd (TCIT) – a joint venture between Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP), MOL (Japan), Hanjin (Korea), and Wanhai (Taiwan), solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the MOL Precision-the first vessel at TCIT.

This is the vessel of the North Europe service- JEX. Her rotation includes 16 ports including: Kobe (Mon/Tue) – Nagoya (Wed/Thu) – Shimizu (Thu/Thu) – Tokyo (Fri/Sat) – Hong Kong (Tue/Wed) – Yantian (Wed/Thu) – Cai Mep (Sat/Sat) – Singapore (Mon/Tue) – Rotterdam (Sat/Mon) – Hamburg (Tue/Wed) – Le Havre (Thu/Sat) – Tangier (Tue/Tue) – Jeddah (Wed/Thu) – Singapore (Sat/Sun) – Yantian (Wed/Thu) – Hong Kong (Thu/ Fri) – Kobe (Mon).

With the service, it takes only 7 days for the Cargo from Tokyo to Cai Mep and 21 days from Cai Mep to Rotterdam. By developing JEX service with the addition of TCIT in the rotation, MOL together with other shipping lines of TNWA offers customers a direct line-haul service from the Southern Vietnam to Northern Europe. Customers can be confident that their cargo will be moved quickly, conveniently and economically, without concern for feeder misconnections. Especially, this service will link TCIT with ports of Northern Europe such as Rotterdam, Hamburg and Le Havre. Moreover, it will also provide direct connection from major Japanese and Chinese ports which have a rich source of import/ export cargoes to Vietnam.
