In July 2011, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co,.Ltd (TCIT) exceeded three international productivity levels in succession of more than 100 moves/hour. On 06 July 2011, the highest record to date of 114.8 moves/hour was achieved for Hanjin Pretoria. One day after – 07 July 2011, TCIT was recorded net productivity of 102.9 moves/hour for the “MOL Prestige”. On 16 July 2011, when serving for MOL MOTIVATOR, TCIT was keeping to record net productivity of 106.4 moves/hour.

In comparison to May, total throughput grew up to 35,09% - 26,799 Teus. Especially, net productivity was 72.16 moves/hour and portstay productivity – these are the remarkable figures. Like this, with 6 months of starting operation, TCIT exceeded the set standard of 70 moves/hour.

In May 2011, business operation of Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) has increased stably. In comparison with April, the total throughput grew up to 23,84%, in which export was 15,25%, import was 43,18%. Net productivity is recorded approximately 62 moves/hour, port stay productivity is 44,5 moves/hour. In spite of being a fresh terminal, these figures are remarkable.

On 19 April 2011, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co. Ltd (TCIT) successfully held a ceremony of welcoming the COSCO TIAN SHENG HE - the first Cosco vessel at TCIT.

On 15 January 2011, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co. Ltd (TCIT) – a joint venture between Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP), MOL (Japan), Hanjin (Korea), and Wanhai (Taiwan), solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the MOL Precision-the first vessel at TCIT.

From April 2017, the former shipping alliances including G6, OCEAN 3 and CKYHE have officially reconstructed into 3 new alliances: THE, OCEAN and 2M + HMM. This launch has been recognized as one of the biggest changes in maritime industry in the past 05 years. Tan Cang – Cai Mep Int’l Terminal (TCIT) handled an all – time high of 1,000,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in October, positioning the company on the road to achieving its targets for 2017.
