The vessel is nearly 365 meters long, has a deadweight tonnage of 159,374 DWT, and a carrying capacity of approximately 15,500 TEU. It operates on the EC2 service within Premier Alliance network, directly connecting Vietnam with the North American market on the following rotation: Cai Mep (TCIT) – Yantian – Ningbo – Shanghai – Pusan – Manzanillo – Savannah – Charleston – Norfolk – Halifax – Singapore – Cai Mep (TCIT).
YM WAYFINDER is equipped with a high-pressure dual-fuel engine capable of operating on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and low-sulfur fuel oil, together with advanced monitoring and energy-saving systems that improve operational efficiency and help reduce environmental impacts.
Amid the maritime industry’s green transition, Yang Ming continues to affirm their strategic vision and commitment to sustainable development by investing in modern, environmentally friendly generations of container vessels. YM WAYFINDER is one of five LNG dual-fuel vessels, each with a carrying capacity of approximately 15,500 TEU, that the shipping line began taking delivery of in 2026. Building on this direction, Yang Ming has ordered seven additional vessels of approximately 16,000 TEU, scheduled for delivery in 2028–2029 and designed to be ammonia-ready for future operation. These strategic steps demonstrate Yang Ming’s efforts to strengthen competitiveness, reduce emissions, and promote green and sustainable maritime development.
