Brief profiles

Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co. Ltd. – TCIT – is a joint – venture company of Saigon Newport Corporation with three shipping lines including Mitsui O. S. K. Lines (Japan), Hanjin Shipping (Korea), and Wanhai Shipping (Taiwan). The Investment Certificate was granted for TCIT by the Vietnam Government in September 2009, with capital investment about USD 100 million, equivalent to around VND 2,000 billion.


Officially started operation in January 2011, TCIT is expected to bring international standard of terminal operation services to our customers. With the advantage of its location in Tan Phuoc Commune, Tan Thanh District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, TCIT can provide high level of convenience for transshipment goods carried to Ho Chi Minh City and Provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong & Long An and vice versa. The berth can handle vessel with deadweight up to 160,000 tonnages, approximately 15,000 TEUs, thus suitable for serving big-sized vessels. Terminal facilities are intensively invested with total area of 40 ha, including 3 berths of 890m in length and the container yard of 34ha. TCIT is also equipped with 9 STS cranes, 20 eRTG cranes, 56 tractors, 04 reach stackers and other modern and environmental friendly equipments, along with cutting edge  IT facilities – TOS system for Terminal Operation and Management. 


With full support from Saigon New Port Cooperation, the biggest terminal operator in Vietnam and the three well known shipping lines, MOL, Hanjin and Wanhai, TCIT is on the fast move and soon will become a world-class container terminal operator.
