190 moves/hour - A new record of net productivity in Vietnam

Since the first vessel called to TCIT in January 2011, it has continued to improve its operational efficiency day by day. It was in early October last year for TCIT to beat the old record of 120 moves/hour by 126moves/hour. After that, TCIT has surpassed it by 134 moves/hour in November, 145 moves/hour in this January and jumped to 190 moves/hour just four weeks after the previous one.

A new productivity record of 190 moves/hour was attained by Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co., Ltd., (TCIT) when it served for the M/V MOL PROGRESS V.061W sailed on 15th Feb. 2012. This is a remarkable container handling performance and a good evidence that TCIT is the best terminal in Vietnam.

Since the first vessel called to TCIT in January 2011, it has continued to improve its operational efficiency day by day. It was in early October last year for TCIT to beat the old record of 120moves/hour by 126 moves/hour. After that, TCIT has surpassed it by 134 moves/hour in November, 145 moves/hour in this January and jumped to 190 moves/hour just four weeks after the previous one.

Not only challenging to break the highest record under favorable conditions, TCIT has always endeavored to dispatch every vessel in order to meet the customers’ requirement. As the result of it, monthly averaged productivity has exceeded 100moves/hour since last October and reached to 105 moves/hour last month.

In the last year, TCIT has welcomed more than 200 mother vessels and handled some 275,000 TEU. It took top market share of a 38% in Cai Mep terminals in 2011. In the last two months since December to January, it has exceeded 50% thanks to the greater supports from the precious customers and the partners.
