MAIDEN CALL OF CALCO SERVICE’S VESSEL AT TCIT ON 05th JULY, 2016. (28/07/2016)

On 05th July, 2016, Tan Cang Cai Mep International Terminal (hereafter called TCIT) honored to welcome the maiden call of a vessel of CALCO service lane operated by K'line, Pil, Wanhai. The vessel name is HAMMERSMITH BRIDGE operated by K’Line.

This is a new service lane that comprises the fleet of 07 vessels with average capacity of 9,000 Teus. The service will deploy at 06 ports from Asia to West Coast of the US with the following rotation: TCIT-NANSHA-  YANTIAN-XIAMEN- LONG BEACH -XIAMEN – HONGKONG- YANTIAN- TCIT. The new service will help shippers have more choice to transport their cargoes to many destinations along its rotation.


For the maiden call, HAMMERSMITH BRIDGE handled about 1,600 Teus for export-import cargoes. This initial volume is not much, however, it is potential that in near future there will be more volume of this service lane, expected 3,000 Teus, which will help increase the total throughput volume at TCIT in 2016.


This new service helps TCIT increase its total number of weekly service lanes to 10. It is expected that there will be more and more service lanes calling at TCIT in the future.
