Amid the ailing world economy and the cut-off services by most of shipping lines, 07 vessels docking at Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) in 2013 marks a remarkable figure. Since the first international container vessel in 2011, TCIT served over 780 vessels within 03 years, in which 315 vessels dispatched at our terminal in 2013 which increased 19% against that of last year.

The year 2013 marked lots of significant events to TCIT. On April 08th 2013, TCIT attained a new record in Vietnam with the productivity of 197 moves per hour when operating the M/V MOL Advantage transporting the container cargoes to East Coast U.S. On August 4th 2013, TCIT officially welcomed one more Intra – Asia service which helped us to serve 07 weekly vessels. In December 2013, TCIT overcome our target with the throughput volume of over 644,000 teus, went up by 19% in comparison with the same of last year. Within 03 years of starting our operation, TCIT has continually controlled the Cai Mep market with the market share of 38%, 58% and 68% in 2011, 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Contributing to TCIT’s success in the last year was thanks to the big support of our customers including the shipping lines of G6 Alliance (MOL, HMM, APL, HLC, NYK, OOCL), of CKYH (Cosco, K’Line, Yangming and Hanjin) together with Wanhai Lines and China Shipping.
